It’s Been One Month

17Sep08

I can’t believe my baby is one month old already, it seems like only yesterday he was born and only last week I was still pregnant and complaining about him being overdue. But now that he is here I can’t imagine my life without him, he is my whole world. I love getting to know him and I love his cute facial expressions, I love the way he looks at me like I am the best thing in the world. I love everything about being a mother-I wish someone told me sooner how great it is. He is such a great baby, really alert and hardly cries.

Having a baby around means I hardly get time to do any craft or sewing and I spend most of my free time trying to catch up on sleep, but he is getting better at sleeping longer I will be back in full swing soon. I discovered a new scrapbook store in my city and it is awesome. I spent a lot of money there and I can’t wait to do some craft. I have so far managed to squeeze in a little time to do some tiny little chipboard houses. They are so adorable I love the idea, I will post some pictures when I finish the set (3 down, 7 to go). I have so many tutorial ideas in my head too, so when I get a chance I will write them up.

I’ve also decided to invest in a shiny new DSLR camera. I have a budget and I know what I want but I can’t find it anywhere for a decent price, I feel like everywhere I go they are trying to rip me off. One guy even tried to tell me the camera has been discontinued and been replaced with the (more expensive) upgraded model. My partner keeps telling me to just buy one, it doesn’t matter the cost-but I have never bought myself a solitary item worth over $500, so somehow I feel guilty spending more than that on one item. But I know a new camera will definitely be worth it, and better than my crappy Optio 60. Plus I want to take as many pictures of Sebastian as I can before he grows up too quick.
